Women in Catholic Christian marriages experience betrayal and abuse at similar rates to Christian and non-Christian women. Radiance Restored seeks to support women with a sacramental understanding of their marriage as an indissoluble covenant made with their spouse and God. We strive to adhere to the teachings on faith and morals outlined by the Church’s Magisterium, while supporting all women who have to live through the pain of abuse and betrayal in their marriages.
Pope Saint John Paul the Great outlined the Catholic anthropology of the human person through his Theology of the Body teachings. Understanding that we were made for love, by love, to love is fundamental to acknowledging the depth of suffering experienced by betrayal and abuse in marriage. A gift of self that should be free, total, fruitful, and faithful has been disparaged. With clarity and sensitivity, Radiance Restored emphasizes the importance of redeeming this gift.

Just like we ask people on earth to pray for us, we can ask the saints who have gone before us and are already with the Lord to intercede on our behalf. We ask them to pray for our healing, sometimes in personal and specific ways, to bless us, and to help us conform our will to our Lord’s.
Mary, Mother of our Lord, was a martyr by the sorrow of her heart. She deeply understands the experience of betrayal and abuse.
